Lake: Lost By The Wayside

From the band’s second album, Lake II, released in 1978. Had little knowledge of the band, other than liking the vocals and production. Then finding out that Lake was a German-based band with a British lead singer, James Hopkins-Harrison, that achieved modest success over a decade or so, mid-1970s to mid-1980s.

Song written by James Hopkins-Harrison and keyboard player and guitarist Geoffrey Peacey, who also engineered the album.

Hopkins-Harrison died of a heroin overdose in 1991, the only apparent drug casualty from the band’s time. Geoffrey Peacey developed a career as a sound engineer in Hamburg.
