Gratitude

For some, it seems that hope is what keeps things moving.

For many, gratitude is more inspirational.

Know someone who can’t stand the phrase “it could be worse.” Some sense that this involves misapprehension of the present.

Yet all the way through, there are times when everything can become either overwhelming, or meaningless, or both.

Overwhelmed by the work. Don’t relate to the work. But at least there is work.

Gratitude in knowing where one has been, compared to where one could have been.

Gratitude in knowing what one has, compared to what one could have not.

No resentment for where one might have been, if grateful for what one did not become.

All this thank you

All comes back to you
