Transgression Mirage

Neil Remington Abramson commented as follows:

People often find ways of minimizing their transgressions while maximizing those of others. I guess they are trying to fool God, as well as us, and probably themselves.

It’s always good to be seen on the side of the public good (as Kant would say), even if it’s a mirage. The good thing about mirages is they offer much hope, are visible miles away, and don’t fade till you get close.
