Corner Fit

Idea that one need not fit within the entire organization, but in some subgroup, in some subarea. One advantage of organizational growth being more places to find fit. The subgroup will generally need to have a person or people who are considered part of the larger organizational culture, but others in the subgroup, otherwise outliers, end up being legitimated through association. The larger the organization, the greater the potential flexibility in accommodating diversity.

So long as one is not organizationally jailed for the offences of inconsistency or rapidity and individuality of decision-making. We do things this way because we have always done things this way. Don’t shower me with your differences.

Diversity not referenced to race, religion or similar labels. Referenced to diversity of personality and attitude. And if the larger organizations are not those with the greatest diversity in personality and attitude…
