Fit and Stress

There’s nothing on my horizon
Except everything

All this talk about an organization having to adapt to try to reduce employee stress. Stress may be misfit of employee personality to the organization. Issue is knowledge of self and where one fits or doesn’t fit. Person-organization fit being a major area of research. Implications for interview clearances. With one problem being that a person who very much needs a particular job will want to appear to fit, irrespective of the reality.

Plus, where “fit” is referenced not to personality but to culture. Not a “team player” as compared to “not our type of team player”…

We just like to be with others who look, act and think like us…
