Self-Represented, Through The Glass

Comparatively new safety and security glass at courthouse. Prior to the latest renovation to require people to go through metal detectors. This being all this plexiglass in front of the counters, to protect staff from citizen abuse, it seems. Turns out that problems were arising with self-represented litigants losing their cool. Taking life frustrations out on court staff.

All this movement towards self-representation. One consequence being the lack of constraint of professionally-enforced civility Idea that if counsel loses his or her cool and abuses court staff, end result could be a complaint to the Law Society.

Though civility between lawyers is another issue.
