For Remembrance Day, the Senate has resolved to grant academic accommodation that will allow students, if they so desire, to attend activities on November 11…

Saw the two jets fly overhead, and knew the point in the service. Distant, this year.

Leading to wondering what silence at the university. Saw no poppies being sold on campus, such as in the business school. Wondered if there would be some moment of silence, plus commemoration, across classes, at 11. Given past practices, this being unlikely.

Though beyond appreciating the jets overhead, and what the flight symbolized, ended up disconnected at home, away from the ceremony, and away from the televised ceremony. Like the grave one hasn’t visited in too long.
