Empty With Hatred

Remember the phrase “his face was empty with hatred”, but can’t recall where it is from. The idea that hatred does not fill anything, so a face “filled with hatred” would appear to be a contradiction in terms. How instead hatred takes away, eliminates. How to make oneself smaller, or disappear through internal dissatisfactions and resentments leading to focused hatreds of others.

Easy for it to grab, and to take so much away. Fast track ticket to belittlement of self.

More than something; less than nothing.
