Prophet

When you’re drunk in the alley
With your clothes all torn
And your late night friends leave you
In the cold grey dawn

Some see the prophet notion as fixed in time. No more religious prophets today. Yet when one encounters someone with a particular religious light, it seems that they are almost prophets by example. Most frequently, particularly humble. Have suggested to a few such persons that they consider whether they are called to be priests or imams. The response is modest self-deprecation.

Almost like one doesn’t have to say anything to demonstrate a particular direction, shown by how one lives, rather than what one says.

Some shining light. Some prophet through darkness.

Angels beating all their wings in time
