Reading the Embassy newspaper of January 28, 2015. Find summary of current parliamentary committee activities. So much work that seems more newsworthy than news interest accorded. Such as:

International human rights

Chair: Scott Reid (CPC)
Vice chairs: Wayne Marston (NDP), Irwin Cotler (Lib)

This subcommittee of the foreign affairs committee is currently studying the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, specifically on children born of rape. It heard from journalist Sue Montgomery in its first meeting of 2015 on Jan. 27. Throughout the fall, members also tackled issues of detaining political opposition members in Venezuela and challenges facing North Korean refugees (which continues on Jan. 29), and work on a draft report to conclude its study on the human rights situation in Honduras.
