Municipal Memory, Or Not II

Wrote about some Hellbound Train; continuing concerns about the light rail costs to the City of Ottawa. Came across 2010 Ottawa Sun article by Susan Sherring, in relation to the impending defeat of then Ottawa mayor Larry O’Brien. Particular sentences:

O’Brien’s fate may be decided
Susan Sherring,
Ottawa Sun, June 1, 2010, p. 5

…With the four year term heading to a close, the tax freeze never materialized and the cancellation of the light rail plan cost in excess of $35 million in settlement–plus millions more in legal fees.

Wondering if it is just a bunch of zeros, with few concerns elicited.
