Mickey Thomas, Elvin Bishop: Fooled Around

When “Fooled Around and Fell In Love” first came out in 1976, it had a unique feel to it. The soaring vocals of Mickey Thomas and the dirty blues guitar of Elvin Bishop. Such a blend:

Elvin Bishop and Mickey Thomas were together, thirty-two years later, in 2008, to show that it still worked. Mickey Thomas’ voice remains as amazing as ever, and Elvin Bishop’s solo remains as powerful as ever, including the famous chord cascade and fade, played twice this time. Mickey Thomas: “I’ve been singing for many years…but nothing compares to my time with the Elvin Bishop Band.”

Remembering where you come from, and the pivotal moments. Mickey Thomas knows; so does Elvin Bishop. Nice.
